The first complete journey
The immediate goal is a coherent solo journey through the Blackout District: leave the shelter, reach the depot, repair the maintenance access, restore infrastructure and secure the control relay. A larger map only helps once movement, combat, inventory and world interactions work together along that route.
Work already tested
Development records from 25–26 October describe isolated tests for movement and weapon clearance, finite inventory ammunition, health, equipment changes, menu input handling and container transfers. Separate save tests restored inventory, equipment and a loaded magazine across a scene change and a fresh process. These are evidence for individual foundations, not a claim that the complete campaign is finished.
The visual foundation
Hallvik uses a consistent POLYGON art direction: angular terrain, strong silhouettes, quiet material surfaces and readable infrastructure. The surrounding mountains frame the city in every direction. Warm repair and settlement lighting contrasts with cool streets, while the website follows the same clipped edges and restrained palette.
The next meaningful milestone
The next milestone is the complete first-region loop, including reliable interactions, enemies, important loot and persistent world changes. Camera feel, combat readability, sound and navigation still need a complete player-facing review. Release dates and public demo availability have not been announced.
