Making the industrial approach a real route
Industrial-route development candidate, 29 October 2026. Screenshot evidence does not establish complete gameplay integration.

Build the route around its purpose

The industrial approach links a service exit to a stream crossing and a workyard. Woodland, rock groups, a bunker entrance, workshop and gatehouse composition give the route landmarks. The approach leads into the city’s power-restoration story, rather than becoming an unrelated landscape showcase.

Contact is part of composition

The environment reviews check roots, rock undersides, building feet, road edges and bridge decks against the actual ground. Sinking an entire group into terrain can hide one gap while burying a doorway or wheel. The work therefore uses local support checks alongside player-height images and neutral geometry checks.

Walk it with the real controller

Later route checks use the project’s standing and crouching controller profiles. Documented courtyard-route tests passed, and follow-up checks found no crossing at the tested fence positions. Some approaches were blocked before reaching the fence, so those exact seams remain unproven. The result is local route evidence, not a complete region approval.

A building can look right and still fail

The gatehouse cabin could not provide a complete controller path through its composition and collision shell. After repeated bounded revisions, the content decision moved the required emergency key to the accessible workshop office. The cabin remains scenery. This preserves the story requirement while responding to what the player can actually reach.

What comes next

Pipe galleries, cooling equipment and switching spaces are the next authored room chain. Their plans reserve safe routes around steam and electrical hazards, useful repair areas and explicit arrival/return anchors. Full enemy, loot, quest, save and transition integration remains separate work.
